A fertility work-up is a series of tests used to evaluate the potential fertility of both you and your partner. For females, this includes blood tests and an x-ray of the uterus to determine:

• Estrogen levels
• FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone) levels
• Remaining ovarian reserves
• Condition of the uterus and fallopian tubes
• Infectious disease testing (Hepatitis B antigen, Hepatitis C antibody, HIV, RPR, Rubella, blood group and RH)

A fertility workup for males includes:

• Semen analysis
• Infectious disease testing (Hepatitis B antigen, Hepatitis C antibody, HIV, RPR)
